Town Council to Conduct a Public Hearing at Meeting on January 8, 2025

On Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., the Town Council of the Town of Duck will conduct public hearings and consider the following special use permit application and text amendment ordinance:

SUP 24-010     Pursuant to Section 156.054 of the Duck Town Code, property owners Michael Garner and Anne Henningfeld have submitted a special use permit application to construct a residential addition 36.2 feet in height to match the existing roofline of the house at 113 Royal Tern Lane, exceeding by 1.2 feet the maximum building height allowed in the Single-Family Residential (RS-1) zoning district under Subsection 156.030(D)(7)

ORD 24-07      Ordinance correcting references in Section 156.116 of the Town Code regarding outdoor lighting and Subsection 156.155(B)(1) regarding special use permit procedures

Box 8369, Duck, North Carolina 27949, or via e-mail at councilmeeting@ducknc.gov.  Per State Statute, only the name and address of persons submitting written comments will be provided to the Town Council prior to or at the meeting as related to SUP 24-010.  Staff reports will be available approximately five days in advance of the meeting at the Town Administrative offices or via the Town’s website at www.ducknc.gov/towncouncil/.
