Employment Opportunity | Police Cadet


The Town of Duck Police Department is seeking an uncertified cadet to attend Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) at College of the Albemarle’s Currituck County Campus.
 The cadet will receive a starting annual salary of $51,164 and will be eligible for all benefits on the first day of training. The cadet will receive a 5% salary increase upon successful completion of BLET. In addition, the cadet will receive a daily stipend for travel and meal expenses while in training.

Our team works 12-hour shifts (14 days per month) on a rotation that ensures you have a three-day weekend every other week!  We offer state of the art equipment, high quality training, and an assigned take home vehicle (after completion of BLET) to officers residing within 60 road miles of the Town.
