TRAFFIC

• Officers issued 15 traffic enforcement actions during the week. 

• Officers took 5 e-bike enforcement actions during the week.

PROPERTY CHECKS

• 160 business checks were made. No unsecured doors were found.

• 14 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.      

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

• General Law (Duck Road)

On April 29, 2026, officers responded to the business and trespassed an individual who was in a prior dating relationship with an employee. Officers spoke to the individual in question, and he was advised not to return to the restaurant.

• Mutual Aid Request in Currituck (Gulfstream Court)

On May 2, 2026, Duck officers responded to Corolla after receiving a mutual aid request from the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office regarding a domestic dispute in progress. All Currituck Deputies were engaged on another call. Upon arriving on scene, the Duck officers separated the parties and determined that the domestic dispute was verbal in nature. The parties agreed to separate for the night, and no further law enforcement action was warranted.
