TRAFFIC

• Officers issued 19 traffic enforcement actions during the week. 

PROPERTY CHECKS

• 115 business checks were made.No unsecured doors were found.

• 2 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.      

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

• Animal Call (Duck Road)

On December 23, 2024, officers received a call regarding an opossum that was in the caller’s backyard. Everything appeared to be ok with the opossum, so no law enforcement action was taken.

• Animal Call (Plover Drive Beach Access)

On December 28, 2024, officers were dispatched to the above area in reference to an aggressive raccoon. Upon arriving on scene, officers checked the surrounding area including a foot patrol of the beach but were unable to locate the raccoon.

• Suspicious Vehicle (Parking Lot of 1240 Duck Road)

On December 29, 2024, an officer observed a suspicious vehicle in the above area. Contact was made with the occupant of the vehicle, who was sleeping. The occupant was found to be waiting to deliver newspapers to Duck’s Cottage. He was taking a nap when contact was made. Everything was determined to be okay.
