TRAFFIC

  • Officers issued 17 traffic enforcement actions during the week. 

PROPERTY CHECKS

  • 172 business checks were made. 1 unsecured door was found.
  • 1 extra patrol was requested by an out-of-town property owner this week.      

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

  • Unknown Alarm (Jay Crest Road)

On October 22 and 25, 2024, officers received calls about an unknown alarm sounding in the area.  Officers determined the alarm was coming from a septic system. The  alarm was silenced without issue.  

  • Animal Call (Widgeon Drive / Bald Pate Drive)

On October 22, 2024, officers received a report of an injured deer in the area. Officers were unable to locate the animal. 

  • Suspicious Condition (Spindrift Lane)

In the early morning hours of October 25, 2024, officers received a report of someone hearing what sounded like a baby crying in the area.  The caller and officers searched the area but found nothing out of the ordinary. Officers surmised the sounds were likely made by an animal.

  • Missing Person (East Sea Hawk Drive)

On October 27, 2024, officers received a report of an overdue person.  The caller reported her husband took their dog for a walk and was gone longer than usual and was not answering his cell phone. The male was located and he was all right.  The ringer on his cell phone was turned off.

  • Animal Call (Duck Road)

On October 27, 2024, officers received a report of an injured/sick raccoon. The animal had to be euthanized.
