TRAFFIC
- Officers issued 18 traffic enforcement actions during the week.
PROPERTY CHECKS
- 171 business checks were made. 4 unsecured doors were found.
- 3 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.
INCIDENTS OF INTEREST
- Animal Call (Snipe Court and Nor’Banks Drive)
On October 26, 2025, officers were dispatched to this location in reference to a deceased feline found in the area. The caller advised that this was the second deceased feline found in a two week period and was concerned someone might be poisoning them. Officers determined the feline died after being struck by a vehicle.
- Trespassing (Ocean Crest Way)
On October 27, 2025, officers were dispatched to this location after the homeowner observed two suspicious males on the property via a security camera. Officers arrived and made contact with a contractor working next door. The contractor did not see the males nor did he notice anything out of the ordinary. The house was checked and all windows and doors to the residence appeared secure.
- Suspicious Condition (Cook Drive)
On October 28, 2025, an officer on patrol noticed an open window at the above listed location. The homeowner was contacted and advised he had a contractor working at the home. Officers made contact with the contractor and learned the window was left open unintentionally.
- Counterfeit Currency (Duck Road)
On October 28, 2025, a business owner advised that on October 26, 2025, two females came into the business, and each purchased $17.00 in merchandise using $100.00 dollar bills. The business owner believed the bills were counterfeit. No surveillance video was available. Officers took possession of the suspected counterfeit currency and submitted it to the U.S. Secret Service for forensic analysis.
- Civil Matter (Sound Sea Avenue)
On October 29, 2025 officers were dispatched to the above listed location in reference to repairs not being made to a forklift. The caller advised that payment had been made, and the repairs had not been completed yet. The caller was advised of civil remedies.
- Trespassing (Duck Road)
On November 1, 2025, officers observed a group of teenagers skateboarding on the deck of a building and looking into windows. Officers were advised that the teenagers did not have permission to be on the property. The teenagers were polite and left the area.
