Help and Hope: A Book Talk with Amy Denson

April 29 @ 6:00 pm 7:00 pm

Join us on Wednesday, April 29 at 6 p.m. in the Paul F. Keller Meeting Hall (1200 Duck Road) for an inspiring and meaningful book talk featuring Amy Denson, Youth & Young Adult Pastor at Duck Church, First Flight Middle School Track Coach, and author. In this special event, Amy will share her deeply personal journey through breast cancer diagnosis, loss, and recovery. Her book Nowhere to Run weaves together short, reflective chapters that blend heartfelt storytelling with practical wisdom, offering hope and perspective for anyone facing life’s toughest moments.

This event invites you to connect with powerful themes of resilience, coping, and personal growth, and to reflect on how we navigate adversity together.

Dr. Shelton of the Outer Banks Cancer Center will also help guide the discussion, sharing valuable information about local cancer care resources and support services available throughout the Outer Banks. This portion of the program is designed to inform and empower individuals and families, ensuring that no one faces cancer alone and that our community is aware of the compassionate, comprehensive care available close to home.

Thank you to Duck’s Cottage Coffee and Books for making the Book Talk events possible!
