The Town of Duck Police Department has arrested 26- year old Kevin Gonzales Gonzalez of Charlotte, North Carolina in connection to a burglary at Birthday Suits located at 1171 Duck Road.
On Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 3:40 a.m., a Town of Duck Police Officer responded to Scarborough Lane Shoppes in reference to an active burglary alarm. Upon arrival, the responding officer discovered that a window at Birthday Suits had been broken.
With the assistance of a Southern Shores Police Officer, a suspect in possession of stolen merchandise was located and immediately arrested in the vicinity of the crime scene.
Gonzalez has been charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, and resisting an officer. The defendant is being held at the Dare County Detection in lieu of a $20,000 secured bond.
