Construction Scheduled for Friday, May 2 and Monday, May 5, 2025

Friday, May 2– American Safety Traffic Control will be temporarily closing Duck Trail in the proximity of Seabreeze Drive and northward. Teams will be onsite to safely direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the area. Pedestrians should use caution and follow guidance when traveling through this area.

This work is to coordinate underground utility installation, which will terminate at Scarborough Lane late this afternoon. They do not expect to block the sidewalk once in the vicinity of Four Seasons Community and northward.

The interruption to pedestrian travel can be expected to last until approximately 3:00 PM.

On Monday, May 5, expect additional sidewalk closures and modified vehicular traffic patterns. American Safety Traffic Control will begin aerial and underground installation at Scarborough Lane continuing to Towne Bank. A bucket truck will be required to reach areas of aerial installation, and pedestrians will not be permitted to pass under the truck.

They will be coordinating with the police department for traffic control when they get to the point of needing to cross Duck Road (from east to west) at Towne Bank.

Questions and concerns can be directed to the Town of Duck, and more immediate concerns can be direct to the Town of Duck Police Department.
