Give Your Tree a Second Life: Support Marsh Restoration Efforts

This holiday season, Pine Island Audubon is inviting you to recycle your clean, unornamented Christmas tree so it can be used in an innovative marsh restoration project on the Currituck Sound. The marsh islands created from these trees will play a critical role in protecting the region from storm surges, filtering harmful pollutants, and providing much-needed habitat for birds and wildlife. It’s a simple way to give your tree a second life and contribute to preserving the natural beauty of our community.

Tree Drop-Off Location:
Duck Town Park (north parking lot/ playground lot)
Dates: Dec 24 – Jan 24

By donating your tree, you’re giving back to nature and helping to protect the environment for generations to come. Artificial trees will not be accepted.
