The Town of Duck will hold its annual 4th of July Parade on Friday, July 3 at 9:00 a.m. Please be aware that increased pedestrian traffic and slow moving vehicles will cause congestion between the hours of 8:00 and 11:00 a.m.
No part of the parade takes place on Duck Road (NC 12) nor is Duck Road closed. All traffic lanes will be open. The parade itself will last from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Please plan accordingly if you are traveling through the Town of Duck on the morning of July 3. Businesses are asked to advise staff and delivery vehicles of the anticipated congestion and potential delays.
A Community Celebration will be held immediately following the parade at the Duck Town Park, 1200 Duck Road. The celebration will feature music by Just Playing Dixieland, snowcones provided by Kona Ice, watermelon provided by Green Acres Farm Market, and the awarding of parade trophies.
The Town of Duck reminds residents and visitors that fireworks and sparklers are prohibited within the Town. Please celebrate responsibly, never drink and drive, and help keep our community safe throughout the holiday weekend.
