INCIDENTS OF INTEREST
- Suspicious Person (Widgeon Drive)
On January 15, 2026, officers responded to a report of a suspicious male under a residence. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the individual. On January 19, 2026, the subject was identified walking near Olde Duck Road and was determined to be a Southern Shores resident.
- Suspicious Condition (Widgeon Drive)
On January 15, 2026, officers were dispatched to the listed residence after the homeowner observed an individual on camera underneath the home for several minutes. Officers checked the area and found no signs of forced entry; the residence was secure. This is related to the above Widgeon Drive call for service.
- Fraud (Jay Crest Road)
On January 15, 2026, officers were dispatched in reference to a suspected email scam. The caller stated they received emails instructing them to complete money transfers, which they believed to be fraudulent.
