TRAFFIC

  • Officers issued 16 traffic enforcement actions during the week. 

PROPERTY CHECKS

  • 102 business checks were made. 2 unsecured doors were found.
  • 1 extra patrol was requested by an out-of-town property owner this week.      

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

  • Animal Call (Jay Crest Road)

On January 13, 2025, officers were dispatched to the listed area for an injured juvenile deer. It was reported by a concerned citizen; and that citizen notified a wildlife rehabilitation facility. We were informed of this to avoid possible reports of needed euthanasia by law enforcement.

  • Injury to Property (Duck Road)

On January 13, 2025, officers were dispatched to the listed address for damage that occurred to a fixture at Town Hall. An investigation revealed the damage was done by accident. The party responsible for the damage had the fixture repaired, which satisfied management. No criminal charges were filed.

  • Narcotics Violation (Duck Road)

On January 16, 2025, officers conducted a traffic stop for expired registration which led to a narcotics violation.

  • Pyrotechnics (Oyster Catcher Lane)

On January 17, 2025, officers were dispatched to the listed area for gunshots. Upon investigation it was found to be fireworks and that they were coming from the west side of Duck Road. This was confirmed by witnesses. Officers were unable to locate the source.
