TRAFFIC
- Officers issued 4 traffic enforcement actions during the week.
PROPERTY CHECKS
- 123 business checks were made. 3 unsecured doors were found.
- 67 seasonal residential property checks were made. 1 unsecured door was found.
- 2 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.
INCIDENTS OF INTEREST
- Suspicious Vehicle (Duck Road Town Park)
On January 29, 2025, while on patrol. an officer observed a van parked at the Town Park parking lot after hours. It was determined the occupant was camping out of the vehicle. The occupant was advised of the Town ordinance prohibiting that activity and asked to leave the area. No enforcement action was taken.
- Suspicious Condition (Duck Road/Waxwing Lane)
On February 2, 2025, officers were dispatched to this intersection for a verbal dispute between two friends which occurred inside a vehicle. Officers de-escalated the situation and gave one of the friends a ride home.
TRAFFIC CRASHES
- Hit and Run ( Duck Road)
On January 28, 2025, a hit and run occurred in the parking lot causing minor damage. Upon investigation, the suspect was identified and located. The matter was resolved without the need for enforcement action.
