TRAFFIC
- Officers issued 34 traffic enforcement actions during the week.
PROPERTY CHECKS
- 139 business checks were made. 1 unsecured door was found.
- 3 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.
INCIDENTS OF INTEREST
- Shoplifting (Duck Road)
On June 16, 2025, officers were dispatched to Donuts-On-A-Stick for shoplifting detected by the business owner. Upon arrival, officers corroborated the evidence and issued the 19-year-old suspect a citation charging her with shoplifting.
- Missing Person (Turnbuckle Court)
On June 17, 2025, officers were advised of an adult male who went missing after consuming alcohol. Upon arrival, officers found that the missing person had been involved in an argument with his daughter before going for a walk to cool off. The missing person was found safe.
- Larceny (Sea Tern Drive)
On June 19, 2025, officers responded to the report of a security camera being stolen from the property. This case remains under investigation.
- Assault (Duck Road)
On June 21, 2025, officers responded after a third party reported witnessing an adult male shove a juvenile into a wall. Officers searched the area and used all available technology but were unable to locate the suspect.
TRAFFIC CRASHES
- Duck Road / Schooner Ridge
On June 21, 2025, officers responded to a rear end collision that occurred when a vehicle stopped for pedestrians at a marked crosswalk was rear ended by the following vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision. No injuries were reported.
