TRAFFIC
- Officers issued 20 traffic enforcement actions during the week.
PROPERTY CHECKS
- 96 business checks were made. No unsecured doors were found.
- 117 Seasonal property checks were made. No unsecured doors were found.
- 2 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.
INCIDENTS OF INTEREST
- Trespassing (Duck Road and West Charles Jenkins Lane)
On March 19, 2025, officers were dispatched to Ripple Fiber digging in the area. The HOA and the Town of Duck were not aware of the work being done in the area. Ripple Fiber stopped their work until they could obtain a permit from the Town.
- Vehicle Fire (Spyglass Road)
On March 20, 2025, officers were dispatched to a vehicle fire at the above listed location. Officers arrived and assisted the fire department as needed.
- Littering (East Charles Jenkins Lane)
On March 22, 2025, a caller wanted to report that brush from trimming was being dumped in the area. Town staff are addressing the situation with the business responsible for the work.
TRAFFIC CRASHES
- Traffic Crash (Duck Road and Duck Ridge Village Court)
On March 19, 2025, two vehicles were traveling northbound on Duck Road. The first vehicle slowed in traffic and was rear-ended by the vehicle following. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
