TRAFFIC

  • Officers issued 27 traffic enforcement actions during the week. 

PROPERTY CHECKS

  • 138 business checks were made. 1 unsecured door was found.
  • 1 extra patrol was requested by an out-of-town property owner this week.      

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

  • Noise Disturbance (Duck Landing Lane)

On May 18, 2025, officers were dispatched to a noise disturbance in the area.  No noise was located upon arrival.

  • Noise Disturbance (Christopher Drive)

On May 19, 2025, officers were dispatched to a noise disturbance in the area. Officers determined the noise was in violation of the Town’s ordinance and issued a warning to the party responsible.

  • Noise Disturbance (Christopher Drive)

On May 23, 2025, officers were dispatched to a noise disturbance in the area. Officers determined the noise was in violation of the Town’s ordinance and issued a warning to the party responsible.

  • Found Ordnance (Ocean Bay Boulevard)

On May 24, 2025, officers were dispatched to a found artillery shell.  The homeowner uncovered the ordnance about a year ago while detecting metal in the yard. The device was recovered and stored for disposal by the military.

  • Suspicious Condition (Duck Road)

On May 24, 2025, officers received a report of possible counterfeit currency.  Investigation found the currency was not counterfeit. 

  • Noise Disturbance (Scarborough Lane)

On May 24, 2025, officers were dispatched to a noise disturbance at a local business. Officers determined the noise was not in violation of the Town’s ordinance.

TRAFFIC CRASHES

  • Duck Road / Dune Road

On May 23, 2025, a northbound vehicle stopped for pedestrians in a crosswalk.  The vehicle behind was not able to stop before colliding with the first vehicle.  No reported injuries.
