TRAFFIC
- Officers issued 35 traffic enforcement actions during the week.
PROPERTY CHECKS
- 133 business checks were made. 2 unsecured doors were found.
- 5 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.
INCIDENTS OF INTEREST
- Larceny (Station Bay Drive)
On May 27, 2025, officers were dispatched to a suspected larceny at the above address. The caller informed officers that her watch was stolen from her residence. The caller stated that she recently had work done at her residence and believes that one of the workers may have stolen the watch. This case is under investigation.
- Misplaced Firearm (Sea Colony Drive)
On May 28, 2025, a firearm was reported stolen from the center console of a vehicle. Later in the week the reporting party contacted officers and advised the firearm that had been misplaced was located.
- Attempted Fraud (Sandpiper Cove)
On May 30, 2025, officers were dispatched to a reported fraud at the above location. The reporting party explained to the officers that someone was calling her pretending to be her son and asking that money be sent. The caller realized the person she was talking to was not her son, and recognized the caller was attempting to perpetrate a fraud.
- Abandoned Vehicle (Duck Road)
On May 31, 2025, officers were dispatched to an abandoned vehicle parked behind a business. While on scene, officers discovered that the owner of the vehicle was given permission to leave the vehicle at this location by the business owner.
TRAFFIC CRASHES
- Duck Road
On May 27, 2025, a southbound bicyclist was traveling in the bike lane at the same time a vehicle was making a right turn into a parking lot. The bicyclist was unable to yield in time resulting in a collision with the front passenger door of the vehicle.
