TRAFFIC

  • Officers issued 27 traffic enforcement actions during the week. 

PROPERTY CHECKS

  • 167 business checks were made. 1 unsecured door was found.
  • No extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.      

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

  • Injury to Property (Duck Road / Canvasback Drive)

On November 17, 2025, an officer on patrol observed a speed limit street sign laying on the side of Duck Road. NCDOT was notified.

  • Suspicious Condition (Gannet Cove)

On November 18, 2025, a caller reported seeing two subjects underneath their residence on camera. Officers spoke with the neighbors who advised it was a sprinkler company winterizing the systems.

  • Community Policing (1200 Duck Road)

On November 22, 2025, the Duck Police Department hosted its inaugural National Night Out at Town Hall. The event drew a strong community turnout as attendees connected with officers and firefighters, enjoyed live music, police demonstrations, and good food.
