TRAFFIC

  • Officers issued 9 traffic enforcement actions during the week. 

PROPERTY CHECKS

  • 94 business checks were made. No unsecured doors were found.
  • 2 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.      

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

  • Improperly Parked Vehicle (West Sea Hawk Drive / Duck Road)

On November 20, 2024, a property owner called about utility equipment parked on a vacant lot. The equipment was not causing a traffic concern and no workers were in the area to speak with about the equipment. The police department does not have the authority to remove equipment or vehicles from private property.

  • Welfare Check (East Sea Hawk Drive)

On November 22, 2024, a party requested a welfare check of a subject at 118 East Sea Hawk Drive due to a missed appointment and no contact.  Officers found the subject to be fine.   

  • Trespassing (Canvasback Drive)

On November 23, 2024, officers responded to a report of two subjects entering the pool area of the residence.  No one was authorized to be at the residence. Officers checked the residence and found no one there and nothing out of place. A surveillance camera provided pictures of the individuals.

  • Found Property (Baum Trail /  Duck Road)

On November 24, 2024, a bicycle and helmet were located in the middle of the road near Baum Trail and Duck Road. While on scene, the owner of the bicycle arrived and explained that the bicycle belonged to him and had fallen out of the back of his pickup truck.

  • Duck Road

On November 18, 2024, a driver reported grazing a deer with his car.  The driver’s side mirror was knocked off the vehicle.
