TRAFFIC

  • Officers issued 14 traffic enforcement actions during the week. 

PROPERTY CHECKS

  • 143 business checks were made. No unsecured doors were found.
  • 1 extra patrol was requested by an out-of-town property owner this week.      

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

  • Dispute (Sound Sea Drive)

On November 4, 2024, officers received a call to document a prior dispute that involved critical comments made regarding a prior relationship. Officers investigated the incident and determined there was no probable cause for enforcement. The incident was documented as requested by the aggrieved party.

  • Fraud (Duck Road)

On November 7, 2024, an officer responded to a fraud that occurred when a suspect passed a fraudulent check at Brindley Beach Realty. This case remains under investigation.

  • Trespassing in Progress (Duck Road)

On November 10, 2024, in the early morning hours, officers were dispatched to an impaired male of the Sanderling Resort. The impaired male jumped a fence and joined several friends in a jacuzzi. When staff asked the male to leave, he became belligerent. When officers arrived the male reluctantly agreed to return to his room. Sanderling Resort declined prosecution.
