The Town of Duck, North Carolina, is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the demolition and removal of existing structures and site improvements on recently acquired parcels in the village area. This project includes demolishing a formerly occupied house, three outbuildings, concrete slabs, a septic system, and designated vegetation.

Interested contractors must submit a proposal detailing their experience, approach to the project, and fee structure. Proposals are due no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2025. Late submissions will not be considered. Proposals may be hand-delivered, emailed, or mailed to:

Scope of Work

The selected contractor will be responsible for:

  • Demolishing and removing defined structures
  • Removing concrete slabs and foundations
  • Grading and filling areas post-demolition
  • Clearing specified vegetation
  • Demolishing and removing the septic system
  • Ensuring site safety and compliance with all applicable regulations

Contract Terms

  • The contract will be awarded to a single provider.
  • Work is expected to begin upon contract execution and must be completed within 90 days.
  • Contractors must coordinate with the Town for a site visit before submitting a proposal.

All inquiries regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing at least seven days before the proposal deadline. Responses will be provided via an RFP Addenda list distributed to all interested parties.

The Town of Duck reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to select the proposal deemed most favorable to the Town.
