Quiet Connections: A Sensory-Friendly Community Event
April 25 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, the Duck Police Department is proud to host Quiet Connections, a sensory-friendly event designed to bring families, individuals, and community resources together in a calm and welcoming environment.
Quiet Connections focuses on creating a space where individuals of all abilities can feel comfortable, supported, and included. This event also offers a unique opportunity for community members to interact with local officers in a positive, low-stress setting, helping to build trust and meaningful connections.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of sensory-friendly activities, including a Touch-A-Truck experience, a Try-On-Uniform station, coloring and creative play, sensory tables, quiet spaces for relaxation, an obstacle course, free food, and more.
April is Autism Awareness Month, a time to celebrate neurodiversity, promote understanding, and encourage inclusion. Quiet Connections reflects this mission by fostering a compassionate, connected community where every individual is valued.
All are welcome! Come as you are and join us for a day of connection, understanding, and fun.
