*NEW* Duck Unplugged

We are excited to announce the start of a brand new event series. Set in the Duck Amphitheater with the beautiful Albemarle Sound backdrop, Duck Unplugged brings five evenings of acoustic music. As the sun sets, the stage comes alive with the sounds of acoustic guitars and delicate vocals.

Dynamic Flow on the Green

Dynamic Flow on the Green with the OBX Fit takes place in person as well as live streamed on Facebook. Dynamic Flow is a natural, practical, and playful calisthenics workout for the amateur and the athlete. Watch a short video to hear about the workout from local trainer DL Althoff. Sponsored by Duck’s Cottage, Coffee & Books and Downtown Books in Manteo

All classes will be posted on the Town Facebook page after the class.

Family Music Time

New for 2024 is Family Music Time! Come to the Paul F. Keller Meeting Hall on select Thursday mornings to enjoy this fun and interactive music class. The classes are toddler-centric general music explorations- singing, moving, listening, and playing instruments.

Classes will be led by the Ascencion Music Academy.

Family Rhythm & Drums

Tuesday June 3 & July 15

Family Rhythm & Drums returns for a second season with family-friendly celebrations of rhythm using hand drums and more. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

Instruments will be provided and event will be led by the Ascencion Music Academy.

Movie on the Green

Select Tuesday evenings at Dusk on the Town Green

When the sun goes down the silver screen comes to life! Bring the family, lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, and picnics for a free family movie night under the stars.

OBXtreme Magic Show

World renowned illusionist Clive Allen returns for another magical season in the Duck. Prepare to be amazed when you bring the whole family to enjoy mind bending illusions with a splash of comedy. A fan favorite for years, the OBXTreme Magic Show is sure to entertain!

This year we will see him all summer long with 6 weeks of 2 shows and 2 weeks of 1 show. Tickets are no longer required for this fan favorite show.

Nature Out Loud!

Wednesday June 4 & September 3

Nature Out Loud! is a fun and interactive children’s concert that will not only have the whole family on their feet and dancing but will also educate about the wild world around us. Join us in the Duck Amphitheater this summer for this free children’s event.

Story Time & Chalk Art Fun

9:30 a.m. at the Town Hall
Thursdays June 5- August 28
EXCLUDING June 26, July 17, August 7

Why do one event when you can do two! We start the day with Story Time and follow up with some Chalk Art Fun. We will provide the chalk, we just need you to provide the creativity. The event starts on the steps of the Paul F. Keller Meeting Hall with some stories provided by Island Bookstore or Ducks Cottage Coffee and Books. Then we will head over to the Town hall where you can show off your best chalk skills on the sidewalk squares around the building.

Be sure to bring some water with you as it does get hot!

We are excited to see the return of this program to the Duck Amphitheater this year. For two mornings during the summer, we are bringing in Storytellers from the area and the region to regale you with stories from shipwrecks, to fairy tales, to origin stories.
