Rotating Art Show

Curious Currents by Emily Holmes is the next exhibit in the Rotating Art Show. The exhibit will be on display Monday-Friday (excluding holidays) from 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. October 31, 2025 – January 21, 2026 in the first floor conference room of the Town Hall.
A free opening reception for the exhibit will take place on Saturday, November 1 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Come see the exhibit and talk to the artist about her work.
Artist Statement:
As an artist and a design thinker, I am driven by the intersection of diverse materials and concepts, working across media to create multidimensional pieces that evoke curiosity and connection.
My work is a reflection of my professional practice in human-centered design (design thinking), where I help organizations and individuals discover hidden patterns and make unexpected connections. This same ethos informs my art, where I strive to take familiar materials and transform them into something that challenges the viewer to look deeper… whether it’s in the texture of weathered metal, layers of meaning and animation in a collaged portrait, or the glow of light through stained glass.
Incorporating both scientific and artistic approaches, my work often navigates themes of architecture, nature, and human experience, using bold colors and mixed materials to explore themes of resilience and transformation through coastal imagery.
