The Shore Thing: Let’s Talk Seagrass: CANCELED

June 1 @ 4:00 pm 6:00 pm

The Town of Duck and the Town of Southern Shores regret to announce that “The Shore Thing” seminar scheduled for this afternoon has been canceled due to the unexpected illness of a presenter. To ensure the community can hear from the full panel of experts and participate in a productive discussion, the event will be rescheduled for a later date. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

The purpose of the meeting was to provide an educational engagement opportunity for the community to learn more about seagrass accumulation, hear from subject matter experts, and ask questions regarding seagrass accumulation. With this in mind, staff from the Town of Duck and the Town of Southern Shores will work collaboratively with subject matter experts and panelists to develop and share educational resources that provide information about seagrass accumulation and address questions received from the public. These resources will be made available through a variety of formats and shared on Town websites and social media platforms to help keep the community informed while the event is being rescheduled.

The event will be rescheduled for a date in early fall, and that information will be shared once details have been confirmed.

We sincerely appreciate the time, effort, and participation of our panelists, partners, and community members, and we look forward to continuing this important educational conversation in the coming months.

Thank you for your understanding and continued interest in learning more about seagrass accumulation and its impacts on our community.
