Flock Safety Home Camera Program

Enhance Safety. Support First Responders. Strengthen Your Community.

The Flock Safety Home Camera Program helps first responders act faster and more efficiently during emergencies by providing secure, controlled access to registered cameras throughout the community. By registering your security cameras, you’re contributing to a safer, better-prepared neighborhood and helping law enforcement respond to incidents more effectively.

When a crime or emergency occurs nearby, every second counts. Your registered camera footage—shared in real-time or after the fact—can provide critical evidence to help solve crimes. This leads to faster response times, increased arrest rates, and a better chance for victims to receive justice.

Stronger Together

Your security camera is more powerful when it is part of a network. By registering your cameras, you help first responders leverage the tools your community already has, enhancing overall safety and situational awareness.

Deter Crime Before It Happens

Shared video is a proven tool to prevent crime. When law enforcement knows cameras are in place, it creates a visible deterrent and encourages safer behavior, helping your entire community stay secure.

How It Works

  1. Register your camera: – When you register your camera, a pin is placed on the police department’s secure camera map. This allows law enforcement to identify properties with cameras in the area, so they know where footage may be available if needed to support an investigation.
  2. Secure access – Law enforcement can request access to specific camera footage only when it is needed for an emergency or investigation. Cameras are never accessed without a request, and each request is coordinated with the designated point of contact for that property.
  3. Protected data – Your personal information is stored safely in Flock Safety’s secure cloud system and is accessible only by authorized law enforcement personnel, ensuring privacy and compliance with security standards.Your camera registry data is classified as protected non-public data and is only accessible by authorized law enforcement users.

Security & Privacy

Flock Safety adheres to the highest standards of security for access, transfer, and sharing of Criminal Justice Information (CJIS). Your information remains protected at all times, and the system ensures only authorized local law enforcement users can access it.
