TOWN COUNCIL SEEKING INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE ON THE PLANNING BOARD

The Town of Duck is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Planning Board for a term to expire on May 1, 2028. The Town of Duck Planning Board is an advisory board that performs core responsibilities set forth by state law to advise on matters pertaining to comprehensive and land use planning; zoning; zoning amendments and plan consistency; and ordinances.

Please note that as part of the application process, individuals will be required to attend the December 3, 2025, Town Council meeting to introduce themselves, explain their association with Duck, as well as why they want to be appointed to the Planning Board. Please note that applications are considered a public record (name, address, telephone number(s), email address(es), etc.) and will be posted as part of the Council agenda packet unless you contact the Town Clerk to have information redacted from the application.

Interested parties must be real property owners within the Town. For more information about Planning Board, please visit ducknc.gov/planning-board/. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, November 21, 2025, by 5:00 p.m.
