Bias Speaker Series: The First People of the Outer Banks
May 19 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Join us on Tuesday, May 19 in the Paul F. Keller Meeting Hall (1200 Duck Road) for an engaging talk with Chief Marilyn Morrison who will explore the deep-rooted history of Native American communities in the Outer Banks. Drawing on generations of knowledge and tradition, she will reflect on the enduring relationship between people and the land, and how these early cultures continue to shape the region today. This program offers a meaningful look at heritage, stewardship, and the lasting presence of Native American communities in our coastal landscape.
A light reception will take place at 6:30p.m. with the program to begin at 7:00 p.m.
The Bias Speaker Series is supported by the John H. & Frances Lane Bias Foundation, Inc. (The Bias Foundation), in collaboration with the Town of Duck. All events are free and open to the public.
