Residents of the Outer Banks are invited to participate in a survey that helps to understand the future of our coastal communities.
A graduate researcher from NC State University, Timberlyn Duncan, is working with the People, Place, and Oceans Lab at the Coastal Studies Institute in Wanchese to better understand how Outer Banks communities think about and respond to climate challenges via a survey.
This short survey looks at things like: your experiences with flooding, storms, and coastal risks, how you view climate mitigation and adaptation efforts, and what types of solutions you’d support in your community.
The goal is simple: make sure future planning reflects the real experiences and priorities of the people who live here.
If you have a few minutes, please consider participating. Screenshot/ scan the QR code in the flyer to take the survey or visit the survey website at: https://ncsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_80V40mDv796gX2K?Q_CHL=qr
Responses are being collected through the end of May. If you are interested in participating in an additional focus group or if you have any questions, please contact Timberlyn directly at tadunca2@ncsu.edu for more information.
