TRAFFIC

  • Officers issued 43 traffic enforcement actions during the week. 

PROPERTY CHECKS

  • 149 business checks were made. No unsecured doors were found.
  • 18 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.      

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

  • Larceny (Duck Road)

On April 12, 2026, officers recovered two abandoned bicycles that were reported stolen earlier in the day. The bicycles were returned to their owner.

  • Lost Child (Duck Landing Lane)

On April 14, 2026, an officer on patrol encountered a 3-year-old boy walking around by himself. It was later found that the boy snuck out of the family’s rental home a few minutes prior to the officer locating him. The child was reunited with his family.

  • Suspicious Condition (Duck Road / Sea Oats Trail)

On April 17, 2026, officers received a wanted person ALPR hit on a vehicle. The registered owner of the vehicle was wanted on several felony warrants out of Virginia. Officers located the vehicle and conducted an investigatory traffic stop. The estranged husband of the wanted person was found to be operating the vehicle. No enforcement action was taken.
