TRAFFIC

  • Officers issued 22 traffic enforcement actions during the week.

PROPERTY CHECKS

  • 187 business checks were made. 0 unsecured doors were found.
  • 66 Seasonal property checks were made. 1 unsecured door was found.
  • 17 extra patrols were requested by out-of-town property owners this week.     

INCIDENTS OF INTEREST

  • Communicating Threats (Duck Road)

On March 2, 2026, officers responded to the Sanderling Inn regarding a disgruntled employee who was making verbal threats after he was fired. The subject in question was not on scene when officers arrived. Officers advised the caller of the process on how to obtain warrants for communicating threats. The reporting party stated that he intends to speak with the magistrate in attempt to obtain warrants.

  • Trespassing (Quail Way)

On March 3, 2026, officers responded to the above location regarding a request to trespass an individual living at this residence. The individual in question was the same employee who was fired the day prior at the Sanderling Inn. The subject was residing at the above address which is employee housing owned by the Sanderling Inn. The subject willingly left the location and was subsequently trespassed from the Sanderling Inn.

  • Schedule Violation (Duck Road)

On March 7, 2026, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the above area due to the driver making multiple unsafe movements. Upon making contact with the driver of the vehicle, the officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A small amount of marijuana was located in the vehicle and was seized.
