Below is a recap of the November 5, 2025 Council Meeting:
- Council adopted Resolution 25-14, declaring certain property surplus and authorizing the sale at auction
- Council adopted Resolution 25-15. supporting Operation Green Light for Veterans
- Master Police Officer Jeremy Davis was recognized for 5 years of service with the Town
- Master Police Officer Nathan Mauffray was recognized for obtaining his Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate
- Police Sergeant Timothy Armstrong was recognized for receiving the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award
- Duck Resident Bailey Pappas was recognized and presented with Resolution 25-16, honoring him for his outstanding achievement at the 2025 Adaptive Crossfit Games
- Austin Eubanks of Thompson, Price, Scott, Adams, & Co., P.A. presented the Town’s Fiscal Year 2024-2025 audit report
- Council appointed seven individuals to the Parks and Recreation Committee:
- Bob Webb as the Planning Board representative
- Jamie Anderson and Lisa Mann as the Duck business community representatives
- Matt Foreman and Erin Jewell as Duck resident representatives
- Mary Alice Hayward and Dennis Zaenger as at-large members
- Council authorized the Town Manager to enter into a contract with Outer Banks Water Safety, LLC for a five-year term for ocean lifeguard and rescue services
- Council authorized Town staff to work with the Planning Board on two text amendments
- The next meeting will be the Regular Meeting on Wednesday, December 3rd at 1:00pm
