The Town of Duck, North Carolina, is accepting proposals from qualified lenders to provide installment financing for the purchase of six replacement municipal vehicles as part of the Town Council’s approved Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The financing will support the acquisition of four replacement police patrol vehicles and two replacement fire command vehicles for the Fire Chief and Deputy Chief.
The total financing amount is $426,209, including $276,209 for Police vehicles and $150,000 for Fire vehicles. Vehicle costs include necessary upfitting such as emergency lighting, radios, radar units, vehicle markings, consoles, and other permanently installed public safety equipment. The Town intends to purchase the vehicles through State of North Carolina contracts as current model year vehicles become available from the manufacturers.
The Town is requesting financing with a three-year term, annual level payments, and no prepayment penalty. Proposals should include any applicable fees and a complete amortization schedule.
Proposals must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. The Town Council is expected to consider a financing recommendation at its regular meeting on August 5, 2026.
